i think you have to measure the distance of the action screws or something. how old is your savage?

it's actually a brand new Stevens (savage 10 w/o accutrigger). it's the new style that few people make stocks for.

so I was cleaning up my guns the other day and figured I'd ask what everyone uses to clean theirs up?

my buddy and I both use the M pro7 tactital kit with a bore snake. we do a basic clean after the range of using the spray cleaner, letting it soak a little bit, run the bore snake a few times then run a couple cleaning patches thru the barrel, lube the rest of the gun and its good to go. every 1000 rounds we do a deeper clean with the copper removing cleaner let that soak and then use a brush and scrub it good, then clean out the barrel, oil it up and its ready to go.

anyone recommend some other tips for cleaning?

meh, a lite oil or even wd40 sometimes

hell ive even used 5w30 mobil 1 synthetic when i had nothing else
