Ok i did a little reading on AR15 and decided that since i do not know how exactly i want to customize a rifle that i can probably get away for the same price by buying a complete weapon. Was looking at DPMS's. Want something with 16" barrel, collapseable stock, and i think a removeable carry handle is what i want in case i add optics later. Recommendations?

stag, cmmg, rra, etc all make decently priced starter ARs

get an a3 if you want a flattop

Exactly.

Throw some birdshot in your gun and shoot a silhouette from varying distances. i can assure you that you will see pellet spread that you didn't expect and some of it might be off the cutout.

any other rec's for a conceal carry pistol?
glock 19

right now buying anything from one of the major manufactorers is gonna mean a hefty waiting period with inventories so severely depleted

DPMS makes a couple good options at a hefty price:

the agency rifle would fit your needs at a base of 2k
the panther classic 16 would be prolly 850 -900 with a flattop and the other options you want

rock river has alot of nice options as well
cmmg is  imo but the waittime is extreme on them and at times their customer svc is lacking

dpms will send you a full color catalog for free, i get em all the time and they have some NICE setups. i is a fan

Default gun crew v. high powered air rifles

looking at getting an air rifle (pellet) to eliminate some bushy tailed rats in the back yard... and do some recreational shooting... anybody here have a high powered air rifle?

get a bolt action .22 (savage MKII is a good one) and buy some aguila colibri. quieter than most pellet guns.

either one will be fine. you don't need any options. if it's a flat top, obviously you need a rear sight or carry handle. otherwise everything else is just extra.

you should also check out rock river arms, stag, cmmg, etc. you should be able to find an entry level ar for at or around 800 complete. the problem is EVERYONE is buying them because of the election so you might end up with a month or two wait.
