no interests in this one, i would need to get a complete furniture kit for it and some other stuff in order to really appreciate it ... its the exported australian / built for US importation model... its lacking pistol grip, its still got the thumbhole stock.

i got a line on another right now with another broken component i think i can pick up for $50 as well. this one has the right furniture though. so i'm waiting to hear if my gramps can grab it or not and i'll order another repair kit and fix it if he can get it for me

So... How bad is it to use 10w40 for gun lube?

It's a glock, so it takes next to nothing anyway.

I looked it up and have heard mixed reviews.

as an oil? its fine, but for serious usage you want something thats going to hold up better

i use it on my rifles and shottys simply as an anti rust measure on the external parts. for internal you want something better

I was going to ask you guys about cleaning. I want to give my guns a really good, thorough cleaning. I want to get alllll the carbon off that shit. Is it safe to just dunk the parts in a bucket of hot, soapy water and brush the shit out of them, then wipe them down really good and lube them up after? Or will that cause rust in the tiny spots I can't reach with a drying towel?

Have your local mechanic run the applicable metal parts through the auto parts washer.

Wipe and lube.

Unless it's somthing worth money.

Everything i have is pure function.
