Is it safe to just dunk the parts in a bucket of hot, soapy water and brush the shit out of them, then wipe them down really good and lube them up after? Or will that cause rust in the tiny spots I can't reach with a drying towel?
Have your local mechanic run the applicable metal parts through the auto parts washer.
Wipe and lube.
Unless it's somthing worth money.
