Why don't advertisers keep up with the times, especially when I see someone younger than my son saying "Don't touch that dial" or "Dial now"?

used both.
i used dial tvs with max 12 channels.
the dial phone we had didn'e have tone, but instead had pulse (not sure how many of you are familiar with what i am talking about) - when you dial a number it ticks the number of times the number you have dialed
