Dude spanks stay the hell away from the Seiko mechanical automatic watches. I have one and the only thing that keeps me from getting really pissed at it is that it didn't cost much. They're cheap imprecise shit. Don't keep good time and don't have a big power reserve. Basically from this experience I have learned why it is that good mechanical automatic watches are so expensive, and for more affordable (<$1500) watches I'm sticking to quartz. I would buy something that keeps better time but it's way the hell down my spending priorities list.
i've gone through about 4 or 5 fossils in my highschool years and the glass fronts always get really scuffed. i have a few i discarded (read: lost because i didnt care) because i could hardly read the time. this one's lasted about 4 years and still looks amazing considering ive worn it pretty much daily.
fossil watches are highschool/college kid watches.
high end watches like pateks, panerais, breitlings, omegas, etc. are badass, but i agree that they are frikkin expensive though. you can always go with much less expensive watches that still look clean/classy/mature but not look like ur still rockin ur watch from highschool. tissot is a decent watch for much less than the "designer watches".
