You really thing the first one pictured looks similar to the third?

That one doesn't look bad but has the same features as my current watch. I'm looking for something "plainish," hence the first two. Still leaning towards the first. Amazon.com has it for 205 shipped.

Why don't you like Seiko?

and I'm kinda going for generic look while still being heavy/solid. it would be pointless to get another watch to wear daily that has the same look/features of the one i am replacing.

Good point. What are you looking for besides plainish?

I like the 1st one of those two, looks like a good everyday watch. I like the face of the second but not the band, too "dressy" looking.

And there is way too much going on with those citizens, the face is so busy. Though you might be able to calculate the angle of the sun & the moon and when the next eclipse will be, you won't be able to glance at it and tell what time it is right now.

I picked up a Seiko Samurai a few months back, and I love it. It's much more solidly built than my old Invicta S2 dive watch.

For an everyday watch, go with the diver with the rubber strap/band. Comfort difference is HUGE. I rock an oyster band all day and the difference between the rubber band and the bracelet is HUGE. Plus the band doesn't get scuffed up if it's rubber.

JMHO. I like the pepsicola seiko, but the orig black diver gets my vote.

p.s. the jubilee band links will stretch and can break if you're always smashing into things (like I do)

I've got a citizen eco calibre chrono and it's a nice dressier watch.. Kinda too big for a formal suit, but I rock it anyways. I'm a big dude.
