yesterday i picked up 3 glofish

they are actually zebra fish with a jellyfish gene mixed into their genome, originally happened when doing cancer research or something.... they are the only patented fish in the world

2 of the fish i got are more orange and 1 is yellow, they are pretty florescent. i am going to call and get 2 more yellows this week

before i moved & lost most everything in my 52, i had (4) of each of the
Red Green & Orange ones

however, they are not as nice if you don't have an actinic bulb or a black light

A traditional white aquarium light will work for daytime viewing. Another excellent option is an actinic light, which will give the fish an exciting and uniquely fluorescent look, particularly in low lighting environments. In cases where the room is completely dark, a black light will create the appearance that the fish are glowing in the dark. This is a truly stunning and beautiful way to display your GloFish® fluorescent fish at night! But please remember that the black light will only be helpful in a completely dark room.

Due to State legislation, this fish may not be shipped to California.

got three of these

grab a blacklight and see how they look under that

they were created as a way to detect pollution in water, they also have red ones which use a gene from coral

The only yellow freshwater fish I know of are some African's (but they're not that mild, yet not overly aggressive).

I've seen parrots/jellybeans in Yellow. They're fun to watch.

those yellow africans and even the blood parrots (which are hybrid cichlids) will rip apart non-aggressive fish. unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions for yellow fish otherwise.
