I'll actually agree with you for once on this topic... kinda.

I drink tap water and eat food past its expiration, get the regular bacteria and shit, and I am almost never sick. When I am sick it's a very light case of whatever.

Milk one week past? If it doesnt smell that bad... and isn't curdled and tastes ok... I'll drink it. Meat that has gone grey other than chicken, I'll eat it.

All this super good for you hormone free organic and free range shit is the stuff that will fuck you in the end. You need SOME bacteria in your system. it's not ALL bad, and thats why they have that shit lke Activa with the extra added culture in the yogurt.

SOME bacteria... does a body good

It's not, just deal with it. Unless they're mixing in some alcohol or triclosan, etc.

I never thought about it when I was younger and went to church, but I'm pretty sure they change it on a regular basis so as long as the person who dips right before you doesn't have staff infection or something, should be fine. :hsugh:

Agreed, although all that "free range organic shit" would have more bacteria and viruses as they can't inject them with immunisation shots.

I agree with you, although I don't know anything about free range or organic things.
And all yogurt has bacteria in it, but that activia stuff's bacteria is supposed to be better at making you crap. (that SNL skit was hilarious) Never tried the activia, but normally yogurt makes me crap less.

as for drinking tap water, the water itself, in this country at least, shouldn't have enough bacteria in it to make a difference to your immune system I wouldn't think. Maybe stuff that's on the tap opening. I'll take bacteria free bottled over .001% (guessing) jet fuel laced tap water thank you very much... I still occasionally have tap though.

My roomates and other people in general who adibe by the "day before expiration throw it out rule" piss me off.

It's food. The same with people who insist on cooking pork products thoroughly well done. Today's pork =/= pork 10 - 15 years ago. It's ALOT more sanitary and you can cook it a little under and not die. It's true. When I grill chops I do them a little under, not bleeding, and the people I cook for praise it as some of the best they've ever had! :dunno:
