Han help me decide my next car
With that price range and gas mileage being a consideration, I'd tend to look more at loaded up versions of the "compact" cars that aren't really compacts any more. The Civic/Corolla/Sentra/Mazda3 are as big or bigger than the Accord/Camry/Stanza/626 from 15 years ago.

unless you regularly have someone in your backseat i dont see any advantage to a camry or accord over a civic or corolla
if i was looking in that price range i would look at a used 330i sedan with zhp package and 6sp manual, but thats just me
h:also what about a tsx?
if you want the larger size then accord, although the camry does look better as a 4dr
It's going to be daily transportation and has to big enough for 5 people
the wifey has hual around assocates to meetings in and around san diego sometimes.
just got though test driving the impala ,and i have to say it's a front runner.
alot of pick up and go smooth acceleration good handling
the interior was:ugh:
the road noise was the best out of the altima and the accord
the altima was a hell of a price with options the price was 20,780 out the door including tax, license, fees ect..
the accord is hard to beat
the sales men are morons and the fact that they don't want to deal turns me off
I might go try another honda dealership
on a side note the guy from the mossy nissan left us a message while we were out he found a 2008 black on black maxima for 25,200 out the door
think i might call him back just to tease him and see if he can beat that price up:rick:

I guess if true 5-passenger comfort is needed then yeah, you'll have to shop in the mid-to-full size segment. If it's only every once in a while any of today's overly tall compact cars are plenty comfy for 4 people. The upright seating position takes care of that.
Regardless, for mileage I'd stick with a 4-cylinder rather than V6, so that rules out the Maxima, and means I would have spent my time at the Chevy dealer looking at a Malibu rather than Impala. Newer platform, and actually has a 4-cylinder option unlike the Impala.
You also may as well also go check out a Hyundai Sonata while you're at it.

I didn't see that big of a difference in gas between the v6 camry and 4 cylinder camry
19/29 v6
21/31 4 cylinder:dunno:
On another note the toyota dealerships we went to are shady pieces of shit
both of them
the guys were trying to put the squeeze on us
"Im like dogg were not buying today"
he still was trying to bring out his sales manager
here is some prices
Impala LT 20,850 not including sales tax
Camry v6 24,100 not including sales tax
Camry 4cylinder 19,900 loaded not including sales tax
saturn aura v6 (thats all they had in stock) 20,900 not including
tomrrow its Mazda6, Hyundai Sonata, then the Honda Accord again
