I know of a firm in town that puts you on salary, but when you go under 40, they stick you in hourly for that pay period... :/ WTF... if you work overtime, it's salary... h: Small business FTL sometimes
I've moved up from 33 to 45 a year in about a year and a half with my current company. Yearly raises are coming up soon and I hope I get atleast a 3% raise, that would be nice.
if you want to get into technicalities, there have been plenty more responsibilities placed upon myself and my coworkers in the past year. Not even considering that, I don't know of any companies that don't give yearly raises so that shouldn't even matter.
Well I was just going to say you should use that as additional leverage to get something beyond a raise which essentially just covers cost of living increases.
My year is coming up in 3 weeks. I better get at least 5%, but you mentioning how the company jazzed it up with the profit sharing bullshit sounds exactly like the way the president here runs things.
