As it stands right now there is no way to "jump" electricity (at least I can't comprehend it...that's why there are theoretical physicists in the world).

I can't see a lamp in a house NOT plugged in turning on due to an electric dust that is throughout the air that will harmlessly conduct electricity to only electric devices.

You can too "jump" electricity h: I've seen it It's erratic and quite dangerous however

arcing. It's fun...but bright as hell and deadly.

I guess what I meant to say was safely and consistently jump electricity.

I'm absolutely certain this is possible eventually, and we will probably see it in 50-100 years. It's just too convenient to not research and find a way. Though battery technology or power source technology might improve so much that we won't need to worry about it. For example, if you have a battery that can last for 5 years, why bother looking for a way to send the device power. Or if you have little mini-fusion reactors the size of a watch battery that can power a device for centuries, you won't have to worry about conducting power.

But I'm a bit of a technological optimist, and I kind of think anything will be possible eventually (even if eventually means 10,000 years from now), including faster-than-light travel, teleportation, and immortality.

Tesla is an awesome guy. He vowed to make a death ray because all the things got pulled/denied that he envisioned. AC Current and radio waves to name a couple.
