they do not. i got my exact same unit sent back to me. how do i know? the serials match up as well as a scratch in the case i made when i first got it.

 

WTF it took me 5/6 days from the day i called them to the day i received my new one.

 

i wont play my xbox for more then 2 hours!! i keep it on its side cause its get better ventilation. gah!

 

it's like a week to get the box to ship it back to them. you have a different system in canada i think.

so do i. i never play it for more than two hours and i keep it on it's side.

 

i regularly have 5 hour intensive sessions and i have it vertical.

doesnt bother me a bit if it gets hot, microsoft covers it if it gets fixed and im not so dependant i cant go 2-3 weeks without

 

well both my roommates got back completely different units :dunno:

 

Mine did the whole red ring, no red ring bullshit for 5 days until I finally said fuck it and called for the box.

 

I sent mine away, it red lighted once, then would just boot and last for like 10 seconds before freezing. Sent it away, and got a whole different box (newer too). Did you try booting it without the HD attached? My friend thought his box was toast, but it was just his HD.

 

i've booted it with and without the hdd. it works both ways.

 

Send it in and take care of it now.

They sent me back a different unit, in fact most people I know who have sent theirs in have gotten a different unit in return.
