i remember really wanting one of those before they had the bullet button and the whole 'off-list lower' thing that b00gers turned me on to. having to remove the upper to reload just seems ridiculous though. also no forward assist or dust cover and the handguards look skinnier than normal m4 handguards?

remove the upper? that's plain dumb design. are you sure you can't just pop the rear pin and pivot?

i didn't notice the lack of forward assist and the dust cover until you mentioned it. that's dumb too.

except if he wants something to shoot skeet or trap the best option is an O/U

theres no need for a pump at a shoot event considering you dont need more than 2 shots nor should you take more. many events limit the number of rounds you can fire to begin with and you can actually bring with you onto the coarse

also a pump requires you pump .... hence its much much harder to pull your second bird

a pump also means you lose your tracking even more when you reload

and a pump doesnt allow for the use of a modified and full choke on the same gun. a O/U allows for two different chokes for that second shot that needs to reach out farther.

theres many reasons O/U are the best option for skeet & trap. my dads custom O/U cost over $2k when he had it made. he was jr state champ back in the 70's and very big into skeet. its hands down the funnest shooting sport not to mention one of the trickiest.

all justifiable reasons to get the o/u if he is looking to shoot skeet/trapp exclusively or if he is looking to get into competitive shooting.

not easy to justify if it is a multi purpose weapon.
