i meant pivot, you don't need to remove both pins. still a hassle.

it's a little bit of a hassle but it's not terrible. i've shot several hundred rounds loading via the rear pin pop method and it's not much different than loading a magazine. you just can't have one loaded and ready.

They probably kept the mag release button because they didnt want to spend more money on a new lower design :dunno:
It's just a slightly modified Carbon 15 lower. All they did was fix the magazine components in the well and placed a cap over the opening.
