It gets mixed reviews. In the past they've been known to break and weights have slid off the handles.

I think the power cubes are the only one's worth it. I think I'll pick up the 45's and the 35's for now.

I got my first set 5's-45's for 250 at Costco I believe, the adjustable ones are great when youre limited on space, a friends has been using adjustable ones for a couple years, but I wouldnt trust them to last much longer.

I rather use the individual ones instead of the adjustable ones.

But thats only because I dont like slapping the 45 plates on my dumbbells.

Don't get the SelectTechs. If you're considering Powerblocks, look into Ironmaster Quick-Lock dumbells too. People seem to love them...but I think you* need the 120lb add on kit. h:

Tried the Bowflex at a friends house and told him he got jacked for the money.

They are very finicky with the weight selector and twice I made a mistake and one of the weights didn't lock properly. Not impressed at all.

Thanks for the input. I was debating between the two. I think I'll just stick with the pland of picking up the regular old iron dumbells for now. I can't pull too much weight with the p90x program because the rep count is so high. If I were doing traditional overhead presses and curls and the like, I'd def. go to the gym. I don't like the idea of having too much equipment at home. Plus I don't want to think about how much a set of 60-110lb dumbells would cost.
