I got my first set 5's-45's for 250 at Costco I believe, the adjustable ones are great when youre limited on space, a friends has been using adjustable ones for a couple years, but I wouldnt trust them to last much longer.

Don't get the SelectTechs. If you're considering Powerblocks, look into Ironmaster Quick-Lock dumbells too. People seem to love them...but I think you* need the 120lb add on kit.

Tried the Bowflex at a friends house and told him he got jacked for the money.
They are very finicky with the weight selector and twice I made a mistake and one of the weights didn't lock properly. Not impressed at all.

actually he uses 160lbs and i'm not joking. they go up to 180lbs but jaymar isn't there yet. i'm sure by end of the year he will be.
