i agree with what will and spanky said earlier, about how police aren't around 24/7. i'm not really pro or anti-gun as it isn't too much of a problem in WA, but if someone really feels the need to, i personally don't care as long as i don't get shot at
It would be very different having to shoot someone than shoot at a target. You just have to go through training and training. When James had to do it, it was more than likely his first time too. When its time you'll do it. Instincts will just take over
it was in fact the 1st time i actually had to pull the trigger (not the 1st time i was forced to draw the gun tho) & i have to say, there was a momentary lapse where i almost didn't pull the trigger. but i had thoughts of what he would do to me &/or her w/ the axe he was carrying & made the decision to stop him.
like i said, 1st shot was in the shoulder to try & immobilze him & it worked, but i have ZERO doubt that if he had continued to come at w/ like he was w/ the clear intention to harm me &/or her, i wouldn't have hesitated to shoot too kill
It's nothing personal about anyone or even about cops in general. It's the nature of the beast. You can't be everywhere at once and you can't be within seconds of every call that comes in.
in Indiana you can get a permit at 18. but you still can't buy a handgun until 21.
keep in mind in most "free" states you can buy a firearm (handgun OR longgun) from a private party at 18. retail purchases or purchases from a storefront that require a 4473 require you be 21 for a handgun but still 18 for a longgun.
