Sony products are no joke. On any audiophile forum, the PSX SCPH1001 is hunted down as if it were treasure. The very first PSX consoles have extremely high quality lasers.

They outperform the most expensive equipment offered by Marantz.

my cousin also turns it completely off (off switch on the back), so the ip changes sometimes making you go into the router settings and change the port ips. If you set the ip manually you'll be fine, or the ip might never change if you just leave it on standby
Can't you just set the PS3 with a static IP address?

Also, if you don't want to take up 5 of your available 10 slots, why don't you just set the PS3 to DMZ? Does your router not support it?

I am very fortunate to not have connectivity issues with my wireless devices.

like I said, if you set it manually you'll be fine. I would but I'm too lazy
I'm going to switch it over to wireless now that I know wired playstations are hogs

is DMZ the port forwarding option that basically opens all the ports on your router?

I'm guessing this was done because it's the most simple version of the bios to crack. The later revisions must have extra layers of security on them.

JDM was scph1000
USDM was scph1001
PAL was scph9002 (file name: scph7502 for some reason)

I remember when it was difficult to get the USDM bios... fun times back in the day

I have a brand new scph7501 at home I believe. It's not PAL for sure and it's the last version of the PSX with the I/O port on it.

The I/O was yanked because it was pointless and allowed "game enhancers" to bypass copy protection.

I <3 old school bootlegging.

Another reason why my PS3 will start collecting dust still

Seems like FFXIII will be a PS4 exclusive

Final Fantasy XIII Delayed to Spring 2010?

Dunno! But we do know it's sure hard to delay a game that isn't dated. Square Enix hasn't said much about the game — which is, in a way, good, because we'd rather have them working on it than talking about working on it. Last we heard, Square Enix was smashing rumors that the game would be out this year. No wonder people are worrying! Some Japanese industry analysts over on Japanese stock news site Trader's Web predicted that Final Fantasy XIII would be pushed back to March 2010. Until then, the value of Square Enix's stocks is supposed to drop.

What's more, website Hobby Blog points out, some 2channel users are starting to compare FFXIII to vaporware like Gran Turismo for the PSP. We haven't heard any rumblings, suggesting that Square Enix was going to release the game as late as 2010 — though, it could happen! Though, pinning fears and tears on the Trader's Web prediction is a little silly at this point. As KBC analyst Hiroshi Kamide tells Kotaku:

LO freaking L. 2010 ... my god.

The GT5 Prologue is a joke too. Give us the full game, not some demo shit for $40.
