yea i caught that, but about that. you do have to pay some sort of taxes from the articles ive read. its not like just anyone gets the check. only people who pay income tax or social security tax in 07

Untrue. Lifestyle has nothing to do with it....cost of living has everything to do with it.
i can make a 100k a year, share a house w/ 4 people.. and i'd have plenty of money left over. it all depends on how you define your wants/needs/requirements/ and expectations.

How about if you have a family? What if you have to provide for other people? Buy a house?
I'd like to see you make 100k a year and own your own house in the Bay Area, and have whatever you wanted. You just don't get it.
