Regular RSX-S price: ~$24k
Employee 9-2x Aero price: ~$20k :eek3:

I know. The prices in SoCal were much better than those in Denver. I could hardly rock any discount here. I e-mailed four dealerships and walked out of one, but still could only get a few hundred off.

if you can get over the abomination cross-breedyness of it (I can just fine, but I have some Saab purist friends who are still in denial about the last 10 years or saab production h: ), its actually a much nicer alternative if you want a "grown up" wrx. Mechanically identical, and stylistically similar, but the interior is MUCH nicer.

I've never been a fan of the interior of the Impreza. The Saab doesn't appear to be much better. It just feels/looks cheap to me. I prefer my Legacy.

GM did not sell all it's shares to Toyota. They sold about 8.5% of their 20% share to Toyota and the remaining 11.5% to Fuji in a buy back deal.

Legacy GT > *. Impreza is way too cheap feeling.

The 92-X was available in 2005 & 2006.

The 92X Linear is the non turbo, 2.5l H-4. 2005 92-X Aero is a turbocharged 2.0l H4. The 2006 92-X Aero might be a 2.5l turbocharged H4.

The Saab 92X is a reskinned Subie Impreza.

Differences:

Seats. The seats in the 92x are less sporty than the WRX, less side bolstering.

Sound Deadening. The 92x has tons of foam sound deadening. At idle, I can't tell if my 92x's engine is running or not.

The 92X-Aero is the same as the WRX except for the steering rack. The steering rack on the 92X-Aero is from the WRX-Sti.

$15K (incl tax, title, license, delivery, yadda yadda yadda) after an insane GM red tag sale in 2005 and trade-in. It was an insane deal. The Subie Impreza 2.5 wagons MSRP-ed around $18K.

I traded in a 2002 Nissan Xterra, and the Saab dealership payed me $1500 more than what I owed on the Xterra in trade... which was sweet.

It came with 2 year / 24K free scheduled maintenance which saved me maintenance expenses that 1st two years.

A few suspension tweaks, and the little wagon handles mostly neutral. No understeer. In extremes, a touch of oversteer. AWD kicks ass in crappy weather.
