Question:

Is there some sort of shake or drink that I can use pre-workout for energy/protein that isn't really expensive?

I tried this workout shake by apex, but its $3.25 per shake... tastes exactly like slim fast. Would slim-fast work? Anything else?

Go to your local GNC, health store or walmart type store and buy some whey protein. It might take you a few brands to find one you like the taste of but that's what you need.

like spanks said just get yourself a whey protein supplement. and if youre not trying to get massive you dont need to get the full 35-40g scoops each serving. you can do it up w/ half that either before or after your workout

as far as flavors go, i usually go plain vanilla and then add stuff like crushed oreos, hersheys syrup, fruit, etc.

*edit* try to look for the ones that are low in cholestoral you'll end up spending a little more but its worth it imo

Just finished day 3 of P90x. I did the plyometrics program today. 1 hour non stop (well kinda non-stop) jumping and kicking and squatting.

I think I'm going to puke.

Did chest & back today. Upper traps are worked, and I've fallen in love with the fly machine. I love the stretch burn you get across the inner chest.

QUESTION FOR THE HAN BODY BUILDERS

what are the benefits of having huge "traps". Almost every PT instructor have told me that there is really little to no benefit of having "huge traps" rather then having just well rounded ones.

i also found this on a body sculpting web site.

One muscle of the body that is often neglected is the trapezius muscles. It is possible to improve and strengthen your "trap" muscles with trap exercises. With developed trap muscles and shoulders, you will have the appearance of a strongly built body, and it is possible only with the right trap exercises to develop your trapezius muscles to produce signs of power in your body.
