Default Serious issue, need advice please.

I have this old lady neighbor that leaves her cat outside all the time, sometimes all day. The temperatures are freezing now and the cat basically goes from car to car trying to stay warm. When the warmth runs out he huddles on the hood and shivers. I am afraid the cat will get frostbite so I let him into our house and gave him some tuna and water. he has been out there all day. This happens a lot, I am surprised the cat is still alive because I am pretty sure he is an indoor cat and not used to the freezing temps. Right now it's about 28 degrees out. Should I confront the owner, or should I call animal control?

I just feel really bad for him.

My concern about calling animal control is, will he better off at the pound? Or will talking to the lady wake her up and make her keep the cat inside?

That's what I am wondering. I have never seen him outside before and I have lived here for several years. I always saw him inside the window.

Call animal control about the cat. The cat is better off at the pound than freezing on the streets. If you're down to keep the cat, you might be amazed if it's a cool cat. Cat's that are rescued who find the right owner show crazy love and appreciation.

Ya but we can't keep him knowing that my neighbor will probably seem him here one day and call me out.

We also have enough to deal with having a baby in the house and all.
