I liked it when I was in school. If you don't get the right job, you'll hate it. If I had been hired at TaylorMade Golf doing r&d on golf clubs, I'd love it.

Yeah, things can get pretty harding some times, you just have to keep your chin up

I think I'd enjoy engineering of some sort. As long as it has something to do with an interest or passion of yours, such as cars.

I don't have a job yet, I'm getting an intership next summer though. You can honestly work any number of places, being in cali the first place I would hit up would be for a field tech job for the utility company.

You get to ride around all day making sure everything is running correctly, and knowing cali's power grid I'd say you'd have more than steady work.

Funny.

I'm pretty sure he's speaking of Electronic Engineering Technology, depending on the school it can be an associates, bachelors, or masters in science, engineering, or engineering technology. Graduates are certified electronics technicians and can be considered for any number of tech or engineering positions. EET's can become licensed professional engineers after completing the minimum work experience requirements in many states and then passing the professional engineering tests.

Techs work closely with engineers, generally the work we do overlaps. Engineers having a higher emphasis on design while techs have a higher emphasis on implementation and troubleshooting. We're the guys who say fvck off when the dumb as shit engineers design something which is inconceivable in real life. Techs pretty much make sure engineers don't make complete asses out of themselves with things that just don't work.

But I'm sure you knew that

no not funny, what you posted is an assumption. he cap the title specifically, which is why i asked. If it is an AA degree, it would make sense that it's from a trade school and not a 4 year university.

Like I said, it is usually an associates, bachelors, or masters in science, engineering or engineering technology. So for an associates you're looking at the designations of AS,AE or AT. It sounded to me as if it were a poke at the nature of us "techies", who are commonly picked upon in the engineering community as being less of an engineer.
