i dont think being a security guard aka rent-a-cop is giving you an actual experience in the "criminal justice" field.

Local/State/Federal Cops can make decent money depending on where and what they do. Can't beat a 20 year retirement.

The average pay rate for a Criminal Investigator here in Pittsburgh really isn't that bad.

38k/year starting sounds pretty good to me.

not that 80k/year is enough to put my life on the line nor do you put your life on the line everyday.

depends where u live and what u do once "hired."

i have a friend whos been part of LAPD for years now after he graduated college (back in mid 90s). he seldom is on "patrol" in the squad car on beat now. he also now makes deep into the 6 figure salary, just finished building his new house in hollywood hills, and a new 545i and RR Sport. and his benefits package is awesome with a kickass retirement plan thatll allow him to retire comfortably before the next 10yrs.

Go back to Microsonic.

Being a Rent-a-Cop wont get you the experience you are looking for...and you wont need it.

is that 6figures just his salary or does it include the

jk. yah, cops make good money.. but LOCATION makes a big difference. some parts of the country, believe it or not, don't pay their cops anything. the locals here in georgia start out under 30k. just gotta find the right dept/agency to go with.
