I see your point. To me, its just more corporate BS though. Even the company I work for now is growing, seeking more investors etc. Its a very similar situation, but, as a job, the employees (who are all close friends) either suck it up, or move on to another job. I can't say I like it at all, but it didn't really hit me as a horrible thing.
The way I see it, if $ is pumped into the site, it could lead to good stuff as well, like sponsored events, more kinds of contests, incentives for things and so on.

while I agree it would be awesome if they looked at HAN as a new place to pump money into, I just don't see it. I have looked at their other sites and poked around a bit. All I can see is advertising. Now I am not saying that I am right on this, this is merely from poking around on sites they have "aquired"
lets just hope that ad-block or some other app will save us if they go overboard with ads
