Even the company I work for now is growing, seeking more investors etc. Its a very similar situation, but, as a job, the employees (who are all close friends) either suck it up, or move on to another job. I can't say I like it at all, but it didn't really hit me as a horrible thing.

The way I see it, if $ is pumped into the site, it could lead to good stuff as well, like sponsored events, more kinds of contests, incentives for things and so on.
