Xbox One Crew w. big enises ... Halo MCC HYPE THREAD! (est. 2007)
messing with the 360 even more, you can use the "optional resolution" configuration to fit the display @ 1360 by 768 without stretching. Funky.
I like the A30 pending on price. You have the option for 1080p, but can always adjust it down if needed. With the A3, you're at 720p or 1080i

it's hard to say. all lcd displays will look the sharpest and best at it's native resolution. chances are that the 1080p signal is being displayed at 1080i not 1080p.
i personally prefer 720p over 1080i.
btw, olevia isn't the only one that does this, my 42" vizio plasma does the same.

i wonder what mentality to take with the 1080p rescale ...
I remember back in the day (1998), I had a Sony digital camera which took pictures at 640 by 480 max. I then got a 3.2MP and compressed images to 640 by 480 and they looked 300 times better.

I think it is what Drew is saying that the TV's bandwidth can take the 1080p, but the TV itself is dumbing it down to something different.
The weird thing is why then would the TV be able to show the 1080p setting on the "display" upper right corner function...

my guess on the tv showing 1080P is a firmware issue, where they use the same firmware for the 1080P version of the tv as well as the 1080i.
