so, in review, i need a new monitor, a new xbox with hdmi to play on the monitor, a new headset so people can hear me when i don't talk, and an hd pvr to record our stuff. too bad i don't have an extra 1000 to blow.

I really only need a new monitor. I am not even sure I want to do that though, since I only like to play in the living room, and having a monitor in the living room would be kinda :ugh:.

if i got anything, it'd be a good headset. the most annoying thing is saying something and it not registering. or having to repeat. the throat mic is better, but still not awesome. you have to position it just right otherwise it doesn't pick anything up. so i'm thinking that a long boom mic that puts the mic right in front of my mouth would have to work.

I have Skull Candy LowRiders for the 360. The inline audio is really low.

 

placing my order now. wife said it was ok. i almost got her to ok a new monitor, but we're in the process of designing our "game" room, so i have to make sure i know how it's all gonna be set up before i pick one for sure.

 

x41's ordered and shipped. no tracking yet, but it's coming from somewhere in state which for newegg usually means it'll be here next day.

anyone in the market for a throat mic? i'll post up pictures and a review later.
