Gauging my ears.

I like it on some people...it would look rediculous on me. But I think it looks good sometimes.
One thing I don't like is the 0's - waaaaaaaaay too big of holes in the ears!
Aren't most piercings 14g? I think ears are typically 16-18g, yea?

It can look good or bad. I'm not a fan of huge gauging. I'm at 6 right now(The size of a Q tip with no cotton). I'm thinking of going to 4, but no more.
When you get your ears pierced with a normal needle or god forbid a gun(These are terrible to get pierced with) the size is normally 20-22.
I was stupid when I did mine before. I had my left ear gauged to 10 and wanted bigger. I pierced my right myself, went immediatly to 10.(This was at night) The next morning I did both of them up to 6. I'm lucky I didn't get a blow out.

Whats a blow out?
My piercings elsewhere are 14g I think....
And I'm pretty sure my piercer told me that guns pierce with 16-18g :dunno:

Sort of.
They can look brutal. I can't find any clear pictures right now.
"blowout" in which the fistula is pushed out through the back of the piercing by pressure. A buildup of scar tissue may be created, which will weaken the fistula and can make it more difficult to stretch in the future

I don't think anything is pierced with 22g...thats way too tiny...

I'm not going to go crazy ridiculous, like I said, maximum 6. Maybe two plugs on the top holes and something like this for the bottom.
Plus I have an extra hole on my left ear, I'll probably leave that with a regular peircing or go up to a 12 and just leave a small bar in it or something. :dunno:
