N***** no more
It's not really a matter of it working or not. It's just to get your attention. It's actually a horrible word when used in a harmful way. I was on the receiving end of that word many times as a kid, and it DOES NOT feel good.
I'm glad that there are people on this earth that take the time to do things like this, regardless of how stupid and idiotic others may think it is. It's absolutely American and gives me goosebumps.

A symbolic call to action, I definitely respect the effort.
But the realist in me says that as long as that word sells music and a culture, we're still going to hear it.
And we're still going to have incidents like Richards' rant and Imus' idiocy.

The N-word has been used as a slur against blacks for more than a century. It remains a symbol of racism, but also is used by blacks when referring to other blacks, especially in comedy routines and rap and hip-hop music.
