Looking for suggestions v. Air Compressor
I am looking into air compressor's, need some suggestions.
I want something that can run all the common air tools - ratchet, impact wrench, paint sprayer etc. I don't mind performing maintenance, and portability isn't necessary. 110V is a must!
Budget is ~$500 for compressor only.
I haven't looked into much other than Craftsman, what other brands & features should I look for?
Here is one I'm considering...
http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...cemldffidfno.0
Price: $299.
SCFM Delivery At 40 psi, 8.6
SCFM Delivery At 90 psi, 6.4
Compressor Tank Capacity: 33 gal.
Maximum Compressor psi: 150 psi
Compressor Regulator: Yes
\Amps: 15.0
Horsepower: 2 hp
That seems to be the best one < $500, the next one jumps near $800.
Thanks in advance.

linky no worky.
The specs sound good, however if you have a bigger budget, then go with something w/ more horsepower so that it pumps air into the tank faster. I think Lee has a beast. He'll be able to help you
Also, wait until the 4th of July. I'm sure they'll be cheaper.

h:Thanks for the info on July 4, I will keep that in mind. I don't mind spending around $500, but Sears jumps from the one above up near $800. Can't find other reputable brands within my price range. DeWalt is very high for the same specs, I think they specialize in portables. Ingersoll Rand has nothing < 1k.
I keep running across campbell hausfeld, but they seem too cheap.
Link fixed, until it dies again.

Campbell Hausfeld has actually been in the business for years. I have an older Craftsman model that has a tank build by Campbell Hausfled. Smart to keep it Craftsman, though. If you're willing to spend $500, then there's room for extended warranty after savings on the weekend price-breaks.
