I honestly don't understand why a person would even take the slightest chance with the protection of their life or the protection of their families lives by trying to go cheap with things like this. It's just fucking stupid and as I said before it will only serve to escalate the situation exponentially.

Do it once and do it right, take no risks with your life or your families...the belongings honestly mean nothing if you lose the lives of your family.
im not going to unload some lead into my neighbors dog...Even thought i would love too..citrus spray seems a little more practical..

have you ever been on a debate team lol

Nope never on debate team but since the thread was about home security and not defense against some dumbass mutt that should have been punted for chasing people I don't see why you bothered to post about it.

Just curious.
Sounds like a good idea to me

Personally, I'm more afraid of going to prison for life than being killed (even in self defense you can get put away ) and so although I have a 30 ot 6 in my bedroom closet, I'd rather use a paintball gun if I saw someone messing with my car, for example.

IMO, anything more than a couple years in prison seems worse than death.

:chuckles: I didn't realize at first how somber and depressing that seems in print.
Didn't mean to bring down the mood

Except that you can still get assault with a weapon and intent to cause physical harm for shooting that person with the paintball gun outside of your home. May as well make it count if you are going to go to jail either way.

You make a good point but you don't get put away for life for assault. (I know h: )

John is right. We use to do high stress drills when I worked for the SO. We would have an instructior run at us from 15 feet while we'd try to drop and reload a mag in time to shoot him. Nobody could do it. Things go down a lot differently in real life, high stress situations rather than shooting targets that dont move and pose no threat to you
