Fucking telling me what I should do and shouldn't do. It's like I'm not a good person cause I drive a car. I'm not a good person cause I recycle. I'm not a good person cause I apparently don't give a damn about the environment if I don't buy into the Global Warming Hype.

I've taken the classes but noooo I don't know what I'm talking about

I'm sure the costs associated with Al Gore flying around the country are offset by how many lovely individuals take his message home with them.

Oh come on, he purchases carbon credits for his world travels!

Of which a good portion probably goes back to his organizations

I love how a decent size slice of the population starts trying to disprove science specifically because the politicians they seem to think know what's best try to discount that same science. The politicians try to dismiss the science, even though they probably acknowledge it in private anyway, because it's a premise of an argument for legislation they don't like. Don't want the legislation, cast public doubt on the premise supporting it.

Well, even our fearless leader, the champion of the "hold your horses there, all these scientists with their fancy schmancy edumacations that were corrupted by evil liberals can't be right about this" cause, has announced that he intends to work with the other nations at the G8 summit in Germany next week on finding ways to help work on climate change.

Time for the rest of you to update your concept of the party platform and do the same.

Oh yeah, the 'science' that many scientists disagree with. Certainly makes sense to me.

Is there human impact on the atmosphere? Yes. Is there human impact on the climate? Probably. Is there enough human impact to cause massive "global warming" and melt the ice caps? I highly doubt it.

Just go back to a popular mechanics from 30 years ago talking about the imminent ice age. They change their minds every day.

My teacher in my Ethics in Science class had us reading most of the current literature on global warming (both for and against it). I was like you and thought that many scientists disagreed with it and that really isn't the case. Most of the disagreement is with the models and the degree of the effect. The vast majority of scientists (especially the top ones in their field) agree that global warming is real, it is a threat, and it is caused by human pollution.
