How would you feel if you were called upon to serve your country (War)?

I wouldn't like it at first because i'd be leaving my family & gf, but then again, if it means protecting them and people I care about i'd give it 110%.

Go!
If my country was really threatened i fouwld think about it i wouldn't want to go for the "war on terrorism" or any BS like that. Thats why i think the freedom of choosing is important if it's a war that you think is compleatly BS or that you disagree on the gouvernments actions you should have the right to not fight for it... Have the right to decline to fight for something you dont agree on.

Thats the point of having a draft. To make people like you fight because you decided to puss out and not sign up the first time around.

When your country is at war, you do your duty. Its part of being a citizen of this country.

Besides, wouldnt you rather fight in this "artificial" war and hopefully win, instead of doing nothing and losing? You can fight behind the lines, but Im sure you knew that.

stop, seriously stop your just being a fucking idiot

this statement has absolutely no truth into it as to why the draft was enacted in the first place

some people dont want to fight , thats fine, but thats not the reason drafts were enacted

Yeah, I know that isn't the whole reason, but that's just my view. If you care to know what I think about draft dodgers, they are a bunch of pussies as well.

also, you're*

Selective service doesn't mean that you must serve in a draft. If you truly are against war, and you can show (through your activities, religion, etc., not just what you say) that you hold a belief such that you would not be effective as a soldier, you can be exempted. But you have to show a pattern of behavior that is consistent with the belief.
