Yeah that's a little different, but it used to be that plates here were based on the blue book or price paid for a car, now it's based on what the car sold for new. I also remember a long time back when it was based on hundredweight of the car/truck, it was .55 per cwt and .50/cwt if it was a farm vehicle or a church vehicle.
