Default pet owners health problem and washing machine problem

i thought id just combined the issues vs 2 threads.

1st, i took tiberius to a new groomer yesterday afternoon and when i picked him up they told me his nose started to bleed. they went to give him a bath and looked at him and blood. he is high strung and has separation anxiety. he is an 11yr old, purebred pomeranian. he has the collapsed trachea issue, lung scars, allergies to pollen, grass, some dog foods, has all his current shots and heartguard meds, normal wt, on no meds but otc joint pill. he eats fish, sweet potato mix, wellness dog food, from feeder supply and all the carrot chips he wants. he had a wt problem 2 yrs ago and he is back to normal. 16 lbs to 12lb. he is a med sized pom, not tea cup. anyone know what this is?

the vet cant see him yet she will call with the 1st available opening. he is missing his upper front teeth so its not an abcessed root. i figure he is going to need blood work and possibly put under for a look up his nose and an xray. they didnt say if it was both nostrils or just one. he hasnt had a bleed since. he is at the age for heart problems.

4yr old kenmore washer made by whirlpool. it wont spin the water out of the clothes in the final rinse and spin. the tubs drains fine. doesnt matter what the setting is low or heavy duty..machine is level and not over loaded. know what part this could be?

I understand completly... I just lost my dog last month.. he was 17... and from about 13 on.. he was completly deaf... so... sometimes... he would be in such a deep sleep.. I couldn't wake him up by touch... that was always slightly traumatizing.. :happysad: But... I was really lucky... and he stayed very healthy up until his last week alive.. when he just completly deteriorated within a matter of days....

Good luck dude.... you're both in my thoughts. :happysad:

Check the belt/tension on the washer. If the belt is loose or slipping it won't spin.

Sorry about the doggie. Sounds unhealthy. Dogs bleeding from nose is usually not good. Is it lethargic?

Not sure where you're located but it might not matter. I'd put an ad in Craig's List under Services and ask your question about your washer. I might just put the ad under a big city near by, you'll get the most traffic that way. There are a lot of trade folks other there that happen across those listings. Someone is bound to have an educated suggestion for you regarding the spin cycle issue. Or, you could put a barter ad on there, trade a service for a service. You could just list services like dog walking lets say, in trade for a washer diagnostic/repair.

As far as the pooch is concerned, it probably stressed him out a bit being in a new groomer. From the sounds of his health issues he's physically sensitive to changes in his environment. I'd just keep an eye on him for a few days. If the symptoms persist or worsen or he gets more nose bleeds then maybe take him to the vet. Plus the season is changing, and that can really be a doozy for my sinuses I can only imagine it does the same for animals.

thanks everyone that responded. good advice and observations. the washer has decided to behave today but i dont trust it. u know how a car gets when u take it into a repair place it decides to behave. i found a guy that lives here who said he will help me. my ex is totally worthless in the mechanical realm. i can do alot of mechanical stuff myself i can get the parts. so that issue is squared away when the machine decides to take a crap.

tiberius isnt lethargic. i know nosebleeds r not good. i looked them up. so i know what to expect when my vet can get him in. he hasnt had another one yet. being an rn i understand the human body only. yes, he is sensitive to changes in his envirnoment and i agree the stress of the new groomer could have done this he has had many groomers...
