I understand completly... I just lost my dog last month.. he was 17... and from about 13 on.. he was completly deaf... so... sometimes... he would be in such a deep sleep.. I couldn't wake him up by touch... that was always slightly traumatizing.. :happysad: But... I was really lucky... and he stayed very healthy up until his last week alive.. when he just completly deteriorated within a matter of days....
