Anyone live in Manhattan?
fk is cold today. $500 for parking monthly if u find or $50 an hr for parking + hundreds of dollars in tickets + broken front and rear bumper and car all scratch and a million dollars for a burger and yes mcdonals/burger king and all fast foor restaurants are more expensive n the city and even beer are double the price OR u can go with astoria. $1700 will get u a 3 bedroom gorgeous apt, 15mins from the city 30mins from NJ and $100 for garage $100 food for a month. hey there is a apt for rent n the house I live n east elmhurst $1700 3 bedrooms few blocks from astoria.
i live there
h: jersey city & hoboken have the most convenient access to manhattan than all the other towns on the waterfront (trains, tunnels, bus, ferry).
fort lee does have the gwb which has a bike path (but no train and ferry access is next town over).

The con's outweighed the pro's.
Pro- everything is around, food, clubs, lounges, bars, anything
Cons- noise, roaches/mice (not where I was), expense
If you can find a place in Astoria/Park Slope/BK H, then you should without a doubt go for it as the rent is at least 1/2 of what you would pay for NYC apartments.

I'd get a place in CT. Around where I live NYC is about 1.5 hours away and it's not too bad of a drive depending on if you catch traffic. Or you could find a place near or at Parsippany NJ, its about a half hour to 45 mins away.
Plus Manhatten is expensive if you choose to not live in the ghetto where you'll be shot just for stepping out of your house.

I live a town over from Parsippany... it's a decent area.... but.. in Morris County.. which is one of the most expensive places to live in the country.
I had a place in Manhattan earlier this year.
