Buying a Dreamcast
Does anybody know or have a dreamcast i can buy from them. I'm in the mood to playing some NBA 2k1 and some other things and i'll need it by this weekend to keep me occupied since the gf is going to be going home this weekend...trying to find one on craigslist but people are wanting well over $100 bucks for these things.
Edit: Oooo nevermind...found one on CL for $35....contacted the seller and seeing if it's still available.

I've got 2 of em. Used to have a binder full of games, can't find it now.
I've got about half a dozen now.
I found a repo that had all the games for it in iso, but then I'd have to dig out a compatible burner, reinstall DiscJuggler....
I love the dreamcast still. I play it while waiting for the pc to do something sometimes.

I could be here all day.
it ran on a version of WindowsCE. By doing so, hackers were able to bypass system security easily, and within months.
It got to the point where "release groups" would encode an "autoboot" sector onto their downloadable game images. You'd burn the game image using Pradus' DiscJuggler (cd-r program), put in the Dreamcast, and play.
no mod chips, no wires, no mess, no nothing.
Hands down, Dreamcast = my favorite system of all time.

SegaCD, TurboDuo, NeoGeo CD, Panasonic 3D0 are all machines that will play a CD-R directly.
The Sega Saturn had a "solderless" modchip. It would fit between the laser and motherboard.
The PSX (bigger machine) had a parallel I/O port. You could purchase a "game enhancer" to bypass system security though it.
The Xbox had all types of modchips you'd secure to the motherboard via screws.
The PS2 had a case modification + boot cds.
The GameCube wasn't cool at all.
