Question at hand is if they come over illegally what makes you think they would go through a legal process in attempting to find work?
If that process was implemented, it wouldn't be a problem anymore to come across the border because it would technically be legal but only to live and work temporarily. It would be made simple. By simple I mean, they cross at a checkpoint where their ID is ran to make sure they haven't been kicked out of the US before, and if they are clean, bam, they get a 30 day pass. During this time, if they wanted it to be permanent, they could go through the standard method of obtaining a green card and eventually gaining citizenship. But the temporary working document idea allows them to still earn an honest living while not having to worry about persecution, therefore, they won't have to hide or cross illegally unless they plan on doing something wrong.
The U.S. government filed charges against Ramos and Compean after giving full immunity to Aldrete-Davila and paying for his medical treatment at an El Paso hospital.

Then this would turn into an open border and how are we to know who we are letting in are truly who they say they are? I mean I could lie and create false documents in another country far easier than in America. Furthermore what would stop a person from staying for more than 30 days? There's no way to hold their location accountable unless you put personal locators on their bodies ala small GPS chips.
They have more fucking rights than we do now its total bullshit.
No. I disagree. I think that everyone should be treated as a human in the US.
OTOH, if you have almost half a ton of weed, and you're running from the cops, and you keep running even though they tell you to stop, them shooting you isn't exactly an unreasonable event

Fuck that if they aren't a citizen of the US then stay the fuck out they should have zero rights once they cross the border.

Technically entering a foreign land illegally with intent to do harm to that countrys way of life is terrorism and can also be considered invasion.
He had drugs and he was entering the country with those drugs which is harmful to our policies on drugs as well as illegal immigration...shoot the fucker dead as shit.

We're America. We should be a model country. People that come here legally or illegally have rights, and abridging those right IS unamerican. Though, just because you have rights DOES NOT mean you can break laws and run from officers. Put an american citizen in the same situation and I would still not find the border agents guilty (in my armchair assesment)

I'm not attempting to mitigate or dissolve the alien's crimes. I'm just trying to say that kneejerk reactions like "ILLEGAL Shoot them!" are counterproductive. I think the officers should be pardoned/reinstated, and the immigrant extradited to Mexico (jailing here costs too much money).
