Africans would have slaves for themselfs capturing enemy tribesmen but on a way smaller scale and keping them in there respective regions...but the only reason why slavery got so big is that the European forced them to sell them for overseas markets. They would sell them to the european is because they had to in order to keep there land. Its at a certain point became Sell Slaves to European nations or you will become the slave. Obviously the choice isint hard to make.
Yes some tribes becam richer but blamin the Africans for the downfall of it civilisation is compleatly absurd!

Some of you are a bit naive it's not even funny. Have you look at the census lately? Or maybe a research on the differences in races lately?
The fact is: we're not all the same. Obviously, there was a "headstart" for the caucasian. Obviously, there is an advantage being a male over a female, etc.
Don't believe me? Check out the pay averages in many different fields for male vs. female, white vs. the rest.
(take a couple of sociology classes and see how "equal" we all are)

Women typically have lower paying jobs than men because on average they have less challenging jobs. Blacks have lower wages than whites because they are less likely to be educated and therefore qualified, even though if they go to college they have a much better chance of getting scholarships than a white.What liberal professor showed you a census as proof of how racist a society we are :rofl:

Same job, men vs. women (on the average), caucasian vs. the rest, pls go ahead and do your research before acting like a child assuming you know everything
and FYI, california and a few other states do not have affirmative action anymore.

Show me this conclusive research on the exact same job, men v women and different races. I'm not talking about the same industry, I'm talking about a specific job.

This is amazing.
The members of the Virginia legislature had the common sense to unanimously approve a SYMBOLIC measure to issue an official apology to black people for Virginia's involvement in slavery. Only slavery. Nothing about segregation, Jim Crow laws, poll taxes, or anything else that particular state did to discriminate against black people in the not-too-distant past.
And yet, a bunch of people on here somehow have turned that into screaming about how there's no more discrimination in this world, and minorities and women should just shut up about all the discrimination that supposedly doesn't happen any more, and complaining about it just shows what kind of trash those people really are.
I'm not going to make a value judgment on that argument one way or the other. But if anyone honestly reads that and agrees with it I think they have some learning about the world to do. And if anyone who has so far made that argument in this thread claims they were saying something else, well then they have the same problem.

Lots of scholarship programs start off with the affirmative action in mind,
I don't know of any major corporations having anything to do with affirmative action, that simply calls for a class action lawsuit.
But, that's not the point of this thread now is it?
You honestly do not believe there are STILL discriminations in this world? everyone all have the same opportunity disregards to their skin colors? All men and women are treated equally?
