That's cool. I appreciate the help. Reason I ask is because I have a few BB giftcards and I don't know what to do with it. Since I was looking for a new bluetooth headset, I saw one on BB that I liked, just didn't want to pay what they were charging for it (almost double compared to online retailers). I figured I'd get the headset price matched, then lower the price even more with the giftcards.

From my experience, they would price match only if it's printed on an in-store flyer.

The competitor has to be within 50 miles of the of the store and have a physical retail address, Sam's and Costco doesn't count. I've never matched an online price, probably never will.

A guy wanted me to price match the Pioneer 50" Plasma based on an online price. We sell it for 3799.99, he wanted it for 2499.99 I also love the Sam's and Costco people, THEY DON"T SELL THE SAME TV'S WE DO!!

actually thats incorrect. look in sop and see where it is supposed be within 50 miles. within 50 miles here we have like 8 bby's 3 costco's 2 fry's etc. its really up to the discretion of the store. due to location and our competitors we will match sam's and costco here. we have also matched amazon and some other misc. dotcom sites. its about making smart business decisions and factoring in shipping, roic, rz, etc

It's a store to store thing. I've yet to work at a store that will price match any online price, mainly because it's always some ridiculous difference even with shipping. Much like the Pioneer example I posted, that will never happen.

People say they can get something online for cheaper, I polietly explain the difference between a physical retailer and a place like Amazon. I think you know where this is going and what's generally said.

This is my day off, no more Best Buy talk for meh:

ok well read this tomorrow then. wanna talk about a crazy deal is the when you buy a 50 mht pioneer plasma, you get a 42 plasma for free, our regional manager sent out a email actually telling us to do the match on it and not lose the sale. and like i said when we do match a online competitor we factor in shipping and its a case by case basis on whether its a good business decision to make. but yeah enough talk on that cuz in the store our advice cant help you guys anyways haha

some stores here are reluctant to pricematch BJs/samsclub, since these places usually have membership costs
