Default Resume Help.

I am wondering how you guys have your resume set up? And who should I list as references?

Any examples would be nice.

i'd show mine, but it has too much personal information to broadcast.

resume = 1 page, tops
the refs should always be on a 2nd sheet ... work related friends are the best to go with ... or even friends that are in the same industry you're trying to get into.

If you want to be a photographer and are using a ref ... don't put down your clerk buddy at Wal-Mart.

Reference: I have past co-workers and supervisors. Asked them before putting them as reference, that way they know. I have 15 people as reference with another 10 as back up just in case I lose a contact with one of them.

My resume is at home so I can't post it, but basically it comes down to,

Name
Contact Info
Experience
Education
Whatever else

in that order

Because my past employment history is negligible for my career, I focused mainly on education and skills:

Objective
Education
Skills
Employment

References should be past supervisors and professors.

start with your strengths on top and not so strengths on the bottom. i dont even state anything about refs. just have another sheet ready just in case its requested.

Don't employers usually call the reference after the initial interview?

well, it's for an internship. I need a cover letter (what do I put on that?), a resume, and portfolio.

I think D is saying NOT to put the refs on the same page as your credentials

OK

I thought he meant that he has a second sheet just in case they ask but other than that, they're shit out of luck trying to find reference
