it makes sense for mid- and upper level jobs...

but for entry level... 1, maybe 2 page + references should be fine.

i consider myself entry level.... graduated from grad school with 2 internships total, a TA position and a class project for Honda.... but i still had 1.5 pages h: imho, if u have relevant experience, just put it in... if u have something not very relevant, modify it to make it "sound" like it's somewhat relevant

Should I put other jobs even if they are not related to the field/internship I am applying for?

If it its irrelevant to the position you're applying for, it seems like it would just be wasted space. Personally I wouldn't do it unless it showed some sort of "leadership" role

Fucking hell.

Name
Address
Phone
Email

Objective - I'm looking for xyz type of position in abc industry in jkl area.

Summary - 2-sentence blurb about me.

Education
School - city, state
degree, major, status (if still in school)

Work history

Company, location, dates worked
Title
3 bullet points of things you did there that might be relevant to what you're applying for

(repeat above up to 4 times)

Second page of references, friends and coworkers are fucking worthless and nobody is going to call them. Direct Supervisors are best, people above them who actually knew who the hell you were are fine too.

Presumably this will be for submitting online, but if you get a face-to-face interview, go to Office Depot or whatever and print it on Resume Paper, put it in a resume folder, and put the folder inside the resume envelope. Tiny bit of money spent shows you're serious about presenting yourself.

It has to be mailed with a CD full of images.

What about cover letter... Third person or I?

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to apply for the xyz position at ABC Company, (insert where you heard about it here, i.e. listed on monster.com, referred to me by so-and-so, whatever). Based on my education and career interest in (insert area of expertise here), I believe that I am a good candidate for the position.

I am currently a blah blah blah (in your case, student pursuing a blah blah blah degree at blah blah blah school). Outside of school, my current position at blah blah blah and previous positions at blah blah bah and blah blah blah have provided me with practical experience in (field you are applying for).

(The Schmooze...here you kiss their ass) I am impressed by what I have learned about Blah Blah Blah Corp in my internet research. Random couple attributes they sell themselves with on their website is commendable. I think blah blah blah resources will provide a good opportunity for any prospective member of your blah blah blah team.

I would enjoy the opportunity to meet with you in order to further discuss my qualifications. You may contact me at (phone number) or by email at (email). Thank you for taking the time to consider my application.

Sincerely,

Farty McStupidpants Who Don't Know Jack Shit About How To Get a Job (your name)
