As for the appropriateness of the gift, when I was with my ex, her ex gave her a trip to yellowstone. Just the two of them, alone, for a week. It killed me inside.

I understand you had these plans well before he was in the picture so that has some merit, but if it was while together, it is respectful to talk to the current bf about any big plans that would involve aloneness like the Yellowstone trip. (Yeah I never heard from the ex about it, and I was the one to talk to him after about it.

except there is no real aloneness to it. we are going to a concert in the town she lives in. i will stay at her house for the weekend...but its no different than now. i stay there all the time when im in town.


i could never see myself going behind some dudes back and trying to get his gf and me alone for a weekend.
