As for the appropriateness of the gift, when I was with my ex, her ex gave her a trip to yellowstone. Just the two of them, alone, for a week. It killed me inside.
I understand you had these plans well before he was in the picture so that has some merit, but if it was while together, it is respectful to talk to the current bf about any big plans that would involve aloneness like the Yellowstone trip. (Yeah I never heard from the ex about it, and
