Does this affect the Nintendo Wii system as well, or do they work totally different? Or am I just misunderstanding your point?

I too have been considering a projector type TV, and will more than likely end up with a Wii before a PS3. I refuse to drop over $600 in one shot for a console.

Can you mount projectors offset? Or does it require to be dead center of the projector screen?

you can, but the image will look sideways depending on how offset you are talking.

Some projectors have a Keystone feature (The effect of off-center projecting) that will move the lens to correct the keystone.

Yeah I am sure, I could just go out and buy a 3k theatre digital projector but I don't see it as an investment much past my own entertainment so I am capping it there.
