the way i look at it (ive been out of the dating scene for a while), if a girl gives you her number she wants you to call her. the only way you could appear too desperate is if you call within a few hours, imo. the next day should be fine. :dunno:

:werd: you wait 2-3 days she's gonna think you didn't like her or forgot...I say call her the next night around 6:30-7 but not during dinner time and ask her if she wants to go out together that night to a different place than you guys met at...that's like a guy working on the carnival and taking the girl to that same carnival the same night...(joe dirt)

Exactly. If you're going out with friends tonight, call her and see if she wants come along. It's not one-on-one, so there's no awkwardness or anything. I too have been out of the dating scene for a while, and if I gave a guy my number, I wouldn't want to wait.
