how much does a late model turbo supra engine cost?

I don't know why you'd want to use an American transmission. Both the manual and automatic will handle all the power you can give it without the rebuild. Automatic just needs a transmission cooler and the manual obviously a clutch would be a good idea.

Full swap? Probably $5000-$6000.

not trying to steel the thread i was just wondering if anyone knows the (est)size of toyota supras engine bay

2JZGTTE Auto/ swap into Caddy Catera possible? maybe!

5-6 is pretty dang expensive for a used motor. vette motors are around that price aren't they?

Probably even cheaper. Just do what I'm doing and locate a front clip, it's a lot cheaper. I found one for $3500 off a 96 Supra.

Knock on wood, hopefully it doesn't move anywhere for a while. I got the benefit of knowing the guy selling it though.

Even if the engine bay is theoretically big enough, you may still have to cut the firewall because whatever engine mounts you'd use would have to be custom. I have no idea where they are in that car, especially considering it's holding a V6 and not a I-6, two different mounting needs.

Long story short: I dunno.
