Glad to hear your decision! I'm always extremely happy for anybody joining the military. My family has a huge Navy & Airforce history, starting back in the 1930's. I too have been considering it very seriously. Navy or Marines for me.

Keep us posted on your IT job, as that's something i'll really be interested in. I have 2 years of college, an MCSE, MCP, CCNA, and A+ already.

If I were you, I'd go active for a year or two. I have a friend who's in Army ROTC now, and they have a "Green to Gold" program. Its available to active duty members and they'll pay you to go to school to get commissoned plus you can get your GI bill money.
